To celebrate National Volunteer Week from April 24 to April 30, 2022, and in conjunction with the Municipality of Clare’s volunteer appreciation initiative, CFA de Clare is now accepting nominations for individuals, groups, or couples who have immigrated to Clare from another country and have made a difference in the community.

Little Brook, NS – February 16, 2022: Twenty-five Clare residents braved the cold for charity by taking a dip or surfing in the ocean at Mavillette Beach Provincial Park on February 12 at the First Annual Polar Surf & Swim co-organized by the Municipality of Clare’s Recreation Services and The Good Wave Project. A total of $4,600 was raised for the Clare Food Bank.

Little Brook, NS – February 3, 2022: Through the federal government’s Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF) and in line with the Municipality of the District of Clare’s Tourism Public Spaces Master Plan, Wentworth Lake Municipal Park will receive a $200,000 investment to improve accessibility and enhance the visitor experience. The total cost of the project is estimated at $271,154, the remainder of which will be funded by the Municipality of Clare.
